Hi, there.

Spring trees and plants are beginning to bloom one after another. Japanese andromeda's buds are gradually swelling, as well as Japanese allspices (Wintersweet) are in bloom with a delectable fragrance. As the temperature got warmer, the surface of Lake Biwa became covered in haze. Each of these seasonal changes spices up my work every day.

Adding New Plants

We received a request to plant additional trees in the garden from the customer who chose us to create their garden last year.

Since they might have weakened quickly, it was not the right time to plant last year. And, we finally got to add new plants this time around after suggesting planting them at the best time of year.

This time, we planted Japanese elm trees brought from the Kanto region. The garden is located in a cold area in Shiga prefecture, so the plants that survive the cold season can grow here. The garden is very large, and that is a perfect environment for Japanese elm trees getting so big. The customer’s ideal garden is like a cool and refreshing villa in a cool area. I believe that this additional planting work meant a lot to customers to pursue their ideals.

The Japanese elm tree trunks are still thin, and it will take time to grow more and become majestic. We need to wait for a while but are so excited to see the leaves unfurl and the season of fresh green.

Although The lawn was withered over the winter, the trees are full of new shoots, and we can’t wait for them to sprout in spring. We’ve also planted cherry blossoms. How exciting to see them in full bloom someday!

Gardens and plants grow and change every day. When customers feel them changing, naturally, customers’ ideal gardens change too. I hope to help them fulfill their ideals and make them happen through my work.
