Hi there.
In our garden, tiger lily flower buds will be opening soon. Tiger lilies produce unique flowers with an outstanding appearance, and their buds are lovely with a carrot-like appearance. The flowers are not edible like carrots, but mukago (bulbils) are commonly used in Japanese seasoned rice or stir-fries. Also, you’ve probably seen them sold as lily bulbs in a supermarket. I admire people who first tried eating such unique-looking flowers.
Garden Plants Health Check
Some tough plants that can survive the brutal summer are starting to bloom one after another. Even so, I can tell that the plants have been affected by the unusual weather, like the extremely short rainy season, the cycle of extreme heat, and heavy rainfall. Since plants are sensitive to changes in temperature and sunlight, I can tell that the weather and climate are getting worse and worse as I watch them. Today, we see the effects of climate change and global warming even in our gardens.
If your plants are suffering, you need to save them with the right solutions for each plant. For instance, if a tree’s leaves are burned by the sudden heat, it needs the right amount of water. Or, if a tree is sick because of mold or bacteria, it may need medicine or pruning. Please watch your garden every day to find the signs plants give to understand what your plant is experiencing before they can’t be recovered.
You may think that climate change and environmental issues are happening far away from you, but you will see their effects through the plants in your garden. Plants are more sensitive to weather and temperature than we think.
What we can do is to watch our garden and check the plant’s health as much as we can. You will not only find problems, but you will also notice flowers that were not in bloom yesterday, and you will be able to feel the subtle changes in the garden from day to day. We are here to help you enjoy your garden for a long time.
I feel that we, who work with nature, must learn more about environmental issues to find out what we can do to help gardens live a long and healthy life. That’s our challenge.
First of all, we will strive to help our customers keep their gardens healthy and happy.
