Stories We Tell -綴り-

Reopening After Renovation

Written by Yukari Matsumoto | June 23, 2022

Hi there.

Balloon flower buds are opening one after another. It is truly amazing that they can create such beautiful shapes. The blooming buds look like balloons popping, and I find them very pretty. It’s one of the pleasures of the season to see the blossoms. I understand why people are inspired by art in nature. The first day of summer has already passed and the days are getting shorter and shorter. Summer is not yet in full swing, but I feel that the seasons are changing so fast.

Reopening in July After Renovation

The garden we have been working on for the past few days will reopen in July. After all the work tools were put away, I went to see the finished garden. The yellow building and outside space suddenly appear in the urban area of Kyoto, which is pretty eye-catching. The building, a traditional Japanese house, is also renovated, keeping its style. So, it has a good feel to it. We made the garden look not brand-new to integrate with the building.

With chairs and desks, you can use the space for various purposes. I’m looking forward to seeing how they spend time in this garden space. We will be involved in the renovation for a while, so I will keep you updated.

By the time the big tree grows more branches and provides shade, everyone will be able to enjoy a delicious meal in the shade of the tree. It’s fun to imagine what it will be like a few years from now.

It is July, the season when cold beer becomes more delicious. Please come and enjoy a glass of beer at this restaurant.
