It’s been a while since my last post. Starting today, I will write the blog regularly again and hope you will enjoy it. I am amazed by how far the season progressed for the two weeks that I was absent. Reeves spirea flowers are dying, and the small petals are falling. According to the ancient Japanese calendar, we have 24 seasons (the 24 solar terms), and each season lasts just about 12 days. And beyond that, each season of the 24 was divided into three more to create 72 seasons. Each of these 72 seasons lasts just four days or so. As we can see, the seasons are changing and progressing at such a dizzying pace.
A Garden Construction Finished Before I Knew It
While I was absent, A garden construction was finished before I knew it. The site had a lot of stonework, such as a stone wall and stone pavement. We used the customer’s granite stone to make a front walkway.
The customer’s garden, which used to be entirely lawn, was refurbished as they renovated the building. The lawn garden was spacious and beautiful, but as a result of the discussion, we decided to renovate it to add a stately atmosphere to the new garden. The stones are placed in a creative way so that they would look cool even when the car is not parked there. The finished front walkway looks as if the stones flowed around the entire house and come together toward the road.
We made a stone wall in front of the yard. The Oomi stones with a mix of gray and rust-brown colors don’t detract from the appearance of the house. Although it’s a familiar stone, it can create a different atmosphere with the different exterior of the house. By stacking stones from both sides, the combination of the stone wall and plantings look well from both the street and indoors. The gray color goes well with plants, which creates a natural harmony.
It is essential to choose the right materials for a garden in order not to detract from the architecture of the house. We, at Oomi Teien, try to create harmonious gardens that the garden and the surrounding building don’t crash but integrate deeply with each other. When I first looked at the finished garden and the house, I felt that they complemented each other.
